Writer and musician James Roy has written 35 books for young people includingTown and One Thousand Hills (each a winner of the NSW Premierโ€™s Literary Award), Anonymity Jones (WA Premierโ€™s Book Award) Captain Mack and Billy Mackโ€™s War (CBCA Honour Books). Town was also nominated for the prestigious German Youth Literature Prize, and One Thousand Hills won the NSW Premierโ€™s History Prize.

James is an experienced speaker and workshop presenter, having toured locally as well as internationally. He presents talks and workshops for all ages from Stage 2 through to adult (including PD). He holds a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Sydney.
