Writer and musician James Roy has written 35 books for young people includingTown and One Thousand Hills (each a winner of the NSW Premier’s Literary Award), Anonymity Jones (WA Premier’s Book Award) Captain Mack and Billy Mack’s War (CBCA Honour Books). Town was also nominated for the prestigious German Youth Literature Prize, and One Thousand Hills won the NSW Premier’s History Prize.

James is an experienced speaker and workshop presenter, having toured locally as well as internationally. He presents talks and workshops for all ages from Stage 2 through to adult (including PD). He holds a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Sydney.
