Sally Murphy is a West Australian author and poet with a zest for life and a passion for making reading and writing fun.

With over fifty books to her name, Sally is perhaps best known for her award winning verse novels including Worse Things and Pearl Verses the World.

Sally holds a doctorate in creative writing focusing on childrenโ€™s poetry, and is an experienced educator, lecturing at Curtin University in Perth.

In 2022 she was awarded an OAM for her services to Childrenโ€™s Literature and Education, which inspires her to keep trying to make a difference in the world.
