Mick Elliott is an author, illustrator, TV producer, screenwriter and professional mischief-maker.
His illustrated junior fiction series, SQUIDGE DIBLEY DESTROYS THE SCHOOL is popular with readers all over the world. His hilarious middle-grade trilogy, THE TURNERS was nominated for an Aurealis Award.
Mick’s picture books, DADS & DOGS and MUMS & MOGS are a warm-hearted celebration of pets and parenthood. The next book in the series, GRANDMAS IN GRAND CARS will be published in 2025. MUMS AND MOGS won second prize for best cover design at the 2024 Whitsunday Writers’ Festival Literary Heart Awards.
Mick has written and produced acclaimed children’s shows for the ABC, Nickelodeon, the Sesame Workshop and Channel TEN. He is executive producer on the Paramount kids TV series Rock Island Mysteries.
In 2024, Mick won a grant from SCBWI (the Society Of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) for a new graphic novel he is currently developing based on his childhood diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes.
Most of all, Mick loves to doodle and can’t believe it is his job!
