Jodie McLeod is an award-winning author and publisher of three childrenโ€™s books: The Black Cockatoo With One Feather Blue (CBCA Notable, Whitley Award winner, KOALA/YABBA Shortlisted), Leonard the Lyrebird (Whitley Award winner, KOALA/YABBA Shortlisted) and its follow up Lilah the Lyrebird.

Jodie runs her own teeny-tiny publishing house, Wollemi Press, in the Blue Mountains, where she lives with her two children, husband and dog. When sheโ€™s not writing, you might find Jodie running the local trails, or else trying to sing and play her daughtersโ€™ favourite pop songs on the guitar, much to their dislike!

An experienced presenter, Jodie has visited countless schools for author talks, workshops and writing residencies since publishing her books. She has a degree in Creative Writing (1st class Hons) and a 20-year career in writing and publishing. Jodieโ€™s presentations and workshops are always inspiring, engaging, fun and filled with visuals and activities. She loves helping students find their inner โ€˜wowโ€™ and sparking their curiosity for all things writing and creating.
