Dannielle Viera has been involved in the Australian publishing industry for almost 30 years โ€“ first as a copywriter and then as an editor, project manager, proofreader and author.

Her first illustrated childrenโ€™s book, Amazing Grace, was published by Library For All in 2021, and her debut picture book, The Leftover Lemon Dilemma, was published by Loose Parts Press in 2023. Some of the childrenโ€™s anthologies for which she is credited as a contributor include Hot Diggety Dog! Tales from the Bark Side (Share Your Story, 2023), Itโ€™s a Kind of Magic: Stories and Spells by Second-rate Sorcerers (Share Your Story, 2022), and Fire Burn, Cauldron Bubble: Magical Poems Chosen by Paul Cookson (Bloomsbury UK, 2020). She also has been published in The School Magazine and on the Australian Childrenโ€™s Poetry website.

Dannielle Viera reviews childrenโ€™s books for the Buzz Words website, is a member of SCBWI and Writing NSW, and presents childrenโ€™s writing workshops for WestWords and Ardoch.

Her childrenโ€™s short story entitled โ€˜The Metal Monsterโ€™ was short-listed for the StoryLinks 2021 Short Story Competition,ย  her manuscript for Lottie and the Littles: Birthday Surprise was awarded fourth place in the Chapter Book for Younger Readers section of the 2022 CYA competition, and her pitch forย Crackerjack!ย was long-listed for the 2023 Just Write For Kids Pitch It! Competition.
